The Oklahoma Bondsman Association is the provider of pre-license courses, taught by Bondsmen, Oklahoma Insurance Department personnel and the OBA legal counsel. The required 16-hour course is designed to get you through the license procedure and provide a working knowledge of the bail industry.

The course is 16 hours, as mandated by Title 59 of the Insurance Code.
Registration fee: $1800
A $300 non refundable deposit is required to register for the course. A Deposit is required to confirm space due to limited class size. The balance must be paid the day of the first class. Please note, payments made by check, the first day of the course, require course completion certificate to be held up to 2 weeks.
Lunch is included; however, we do not accommodate special diets.

OBA Membership is $350 and due on September 1st, past due on October 31st of each year. A late fee of $100 is added after October 31st and membership is suspended after December 31st.
OBA Grandfather bondsmen are exempt from continuing education, but are encouraged and welcome to attend. The dues for our Grandfathered bondsmen is reduced to $200 and provides full membership benefits.
Membership funds are used to support the Oklahoma Bondsman Associations task of protecting and further the bail industry. There are many benefits from your OBA Membership.
