Rep. Scott Biggs, R-Chickasha, announced his resignation from the Oklahoma House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, effective immediately. Rep. Biggs spent his career advocating for victims’ rights and criminal justice. Following the announcement, OBA expressed gratitude for Rep. Biggs’ work as a legislator.
“While we are sorry to see such a strong advocate for victims’ rights as Rep. Scott Biggs depart the Oklahoma Legislature, we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.
The Oklahoman Bondsman Association will continue to work with and be a resource for the Oklahoma State Legislature, including the new chair of the House Criminal Justice and Corrections committee, as they evaluate and consider criminal justice reform legislation moving forward.”
